Are you from The Americas and a young leader? Through the main Scholarship, you could go to the One Young World Summit 2023 from October 2 to October 5 in Belfast.
The Leading the Americas Scholarships are a programme that helps make sure that some of the best young people from the Americas will be at the One Young World Summit in Belfast in 2023.
The Americas as a whole are going through big changes in leadership, and many of these changes are causing instability throughout the region. In Chile, there have been months-long protests, and in Venezuela, there is a humanitarian disaster that is making the country unstable.
Argentina’s debt problem is still a threat, and there is still a lot of false information being spread around the region. Even though there is a lot of uncertainty, young people are stepping up to put their countries back on the right track. The clean energy movement is paying attention, and technological advances are trying to make society more fair.
If you get a Scholarship and need a visa to get into the UK so you can go to the One Young World Summit 2023, you will have to pay for the ticket yourself. The visa costs 100 GBP, plus whatever service fee your local visa application place charges.
As a participant, you are responsible for paying for the visa, the applicable service charge, and any other costs related to the visa application, such as travel to and from the visa application place.
